TRE differences

I'm sure this has been covered before......In what month did Nissan switch their TRE's? I always thought it was '93, but I think I may be wrong on this. My truck was manufactured 7/92, and according to the title, is in fact a '93. I ordered TRE's for a '93 and got them earlier this week. I got under the truck after the strut rod install and compared the threaded section of the TRE to the set I had just received, the set I received were smaller than the set in the truck. I stopped into NAPA after work and they ran the part number on the box I ordered, it came back for a '93. They had an outer TRE in stock for a '92, it is bigger and beefer than what I ordered and is a perfect match to whats in the truck presently. Can anybody give me a definitive answer to the month or year of production in which the change was made?

93 can be either, 92 is smaller no matter what! is in the box and 94 is larger. people get the parts mixed up in the boxes all the time because of the changeover and parts return confusion

I had that same problem the first time with mine. The computer insisted that the smaller TRE was the one for my 93, but it was actually the larger ones.

Somebody on this forum had a '92 with the big TREs too, maybe it was Bach? Kinda a crapshoot with Nissans on a lot of this stuff, seems like.
